We are hosting a cheer station at Mile 21 on the LA Marathon route. There you will be cheering, dancing, making noise, passing out yogurts, and joining in on the fun as participants of the Hirshberg Training Team and LA Marathon run by.

Mission or Broader Program Description:

The Hirshberg Training Team is the walk/run training team for the Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research. The primary purpose of the training program is to raise funds for pancreatic cancer research and assist our participants in achieving their training and fundraising goals. Our mission is to provide a safe, enjoyable and rewarding experience for all our participants, most of whom have never run a marathon before!

Impact:

Your volunteer efforts will help us create the rally our participants deserve! They have trained and fundraised for months and the Purple People Party is the extra THANK YOU and visual reminder of all of their hard work.

Have fun, make noise, and provide encouragement for runners on the course!

Requirements:

Be willing to bring loads of energy and fun!
* Any volunteer under the age of 18 will need to bring and have signed by a parent/guardian.
