BGH Community Hospice serves both Bonner and Boundary Counties - to provide ongoing palliative care to our clients and families. Our 50+ team of volunteers offer both direct and non-direct client care (respite, companioning support, bedside vigil presence and practical support). In addition, our volunteer team provides our ongoing community bereavement services for both Bonner and Boundary Counties -- offering ongoing groups, classes and programs to support individuals that are moving through the journey of grief and mourning.

Volunteers are required to accomplish a 'basic training'; as well, be vetted with background check/drug screening prior to training. Those individuals volunteers that are interested in more specialized service - additional training for bereavement, Kids Grief Camp and bedside vigil support is offered ongoing.

Volunteers do not have required hours/schedule or amount of volunteer time per month; as each volunteer will be matched by their interest, gifts, experience and heart-call.
