Mission: To provide excellence in healthcare close to home. Vision: to be recognized as the best place to work and the first choice for healthcare in the communities we serve. Values and Commitments: Excellence, integrity, innovation, compassion, respect and safety.
Bonner General Health Community Hospice provides quality end-of-life care for residents of Bonner and Boundary Counties. A dedicated staff of physicians, nurses, social workers, certified nursing assistants, chaplain and volunteers provide care mainly in the home to assist families and friends in caring for their loved one who has a life-limiting illness. We also provide bereavement services for survivors of clients on our services as well as provide community bereavement for our community members.
Our BGH Community Hospice Volunteers are an integral part of our care team delivery and have an opportunity to participate in very diverse volunteer roles. Volunteers may provide both direct and indirect support through the offering of: companioning support to individuals and families in the end-of-life journey, respite, practical support (i.e. cooking, gardening, household tasks), group facilitation in bereavement groups/classes, 1:1 bereavement support and outreach, administrative support, team-ship with annual fundraising activities, bedside vigil presence and Life Review support and facilitation.
