Official Start Giving Local, Solvang Century Team SAG Support Volunteer

Start Giving Local is a volunteer run nonprofit committed to community health and wellness. We empower individuals to participate in endurance events to raise money for the charity causes that they are passionate about. Several times a year, we coordinate team events and fundraise on behalf of Charity Organizations we respect and admire.

On March 14th of 2020 our organization will participate as an official charity partner at the Solvang Century. We have a team of cyclists who will join together and ride up to 100 miles in order to raise money on behalf of the United Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Barbara County.

We need your help. The race coordinators could use additional support at the Support and Gear (SAG) stations. This is a great opportunity to join in a community event. Support all the race day cyclists and have fun passing out water and snacks to the many athletes participating in the race. Our SAG team volunteers will have the chance to support not just Start Giving Local racers but all event cyclists. There are a wide variety of volunteer roles and any contribution you can offer will make a positive impact.

This is a really fun company team building activity. It’s also a great student group activity. We will record and sign off on volunteer hours for anyone who is tracking them.

Our Volunteer Cyclists will be riding bicycles for up to a full century ride , 100 miles in a single day.
