Volunteer to distribute coupons to low-income seniors for the purchase of fresh fruits and vegetables from local Farmers Markets. Volunteer teams distribute from various locations in Somerville and Cambridge, including at our office. We hold mandatory training sessions for new volunteers the week before the coupon distribution.Farmer's Market Coupons are typically distributed the third week of July, during which volunteers can participate in morning or afternoon shifts from Monday through Friday. W e especially need volunteers who speak Mandarin, Haitian, Spanish and Portuguese.
This program is an annual event that takes place over a week in July.
