Help Children Celebrate Dr. Seuss's Birthday at the Milwaukee Public Library!

Dr. Seuss's birthday is coming up, and to celebrate our Central Library is throwing Browser's Book Bash on Saturday, March 7!

Children from throughout our community will celebrate their love of reading, books, and the characters that make them special through a day filled with music, comedy, literacy games, animals, art projects, cookie decorating, and more. Look out! Special guest appearances may also be made by Cat in the Hat or Curious George!

With over 1,300 children attending last year's celebration (wow!), we are looking for approximately 30 volunteers to help make sure each and every child has an entertaining and ed-cellent experience.

Volunteers will help children at the following activity stations: Cookie decorating, Olivia's Dress Up Closet, Fox in the Sox Matching Game, Lulu's Animal Rescue, Frog and Toad Fishing Pond, Face Painting, Arts & Crafts projects with Artists Working in Education, Journal Making, Mascot Handling, and welcoming and greeting families.
