Help put youth on a better course in life!

Lad Lake is seeking friendly volunteers for our annual grassroots Kettle Classic Bike Walk Run event on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at our Dousman Campus (W350 S1401 Waterville Rd).

Lad Lake has been providing services to at-risk kids and their families from throughout southeastern Wisconsin since 1848. We provide support for youth who need healing, we are also the state’s first residential shelter for girls rescued from sex trafficking. Please consider volunteering your gifts and talents, along with our team on the morning of Saturday, June 21.

Volunteers must be dressed for the weather and plan to be outside.

Volunteers must be able to walk.


Looking for a face painter

Drive and Direct Crew (Parking Attendees and Cart Drivers)

1-2 volunteers (shift varies)

Responsibilities:

- Manage designated parking areas to ensure smooth entry and exit of vehicles.

- Direct participants and visitors to appropriate parking spots and answer any parking-related queries.

- Operate golf carts or similar vehicles to safely transport participants, especially those with mobility limitations, from parking areas to event start/endpoints.

- Monitor traffic flow to avoid congestion and ensure the safety of all event attendees.

- Assist in setting up and breaking down traffic cones, signs, and other directional tools to guide participants and visitors.

Qualifications:

- -Great personality /outgoing

- Great communication skills to effectively direct traffic and assist participants.




Kettle Classic Champions (Event Cheerleaders )

2-3 volunteers: Time Frame: 8:30 am-10:30 am

Responsibilities:

- Provide enthusiastic support and encouragement for participants along the course.

- Hold motivational signs and distribute water and snacks at designated cheer stations.

- Help maintain a high-energy atmosphere to motivate participants throughout the event.

Qualifications:

- Outgoing and energetic personality.

- Ability to stand for extended periods and engage with a diverse group of event participants.

- No previous experience is required; a positive attitude is a must!

Many have been abused or severely neglected. Simply put Lad Lake is the emergency room of the child welfare system. Whether its support for foster kids, a safe haven for exploited and abused girls, remedial academic help, behavioral therapy for young people involved in the juvenile justice system or mentors for troubled youth Lad Lake provides proven programs that strengthen families and heal lives. . To ensure that a youth is safe and their basic needs are met.

. To improve a young person’s ability to regulate and manage their emotions.

. Increase their knowledge and skills to be self-sustaining adults (education and employment).

. To improve the social support systems (family and community) surrounding a young person.
