Volunteer on your own time frame.
Opportunities include office volunteers, one on one volunteering in facilities or private homes, and volunteering in a facility.
We will sign off on school reports, provide you with training and orient you to the kinds of things you might be exposed to such as medical conditions that have special needs. We try to match you with someone that might have similar interests, commonality is always good. You might find yourself being challenged to do something you have never tried before. We seek those who can provide companionship and socialization inside a nursing facility or in a private home (must be 18 or older for this opportunity).
We find that those who can speak both Spanish and English well benefit the patients as well as being able to speak with other family members, as well as communicate with staff.

Description
Providing care and comfort to patients. Opportunities include direct patient visitation and administrative support. We provide feedback to schools for volunteer credit. We provide internships for those in nursing and social work. Travel will be limited, with the exception of internships, which may be only to visit different sites. Our goal is to provide companionship as well as socialization to those who express desire to have a volunteer visit. Our scope of activities may be limitless, we help with light housekeeping, running errands, helping with activities, quiet time to reflect and hear life experiences.
