New Hospice location, needs volunteers to help with office tasks, working in facilities and private homes, to provide companionship and socializing terminally ill adults with those who have the heart to visit and bring some happiness to them.
Office: Filing, organizing, receptionist, and assembling procedure manuals.
One on One Care: Visit patients, talking, reading, light housekeeping, light meal prep (to freeze or refrigerate),
pet therapy if allowed. Aromatherapy, playing games, working puzzles, and things the patient might like to do.
Helping with errands (pick up only, never handling cards or cash).
Facility support: Being able to visit patients in a facility, and helping call Bingo and other Games, helping deliver meals within the facility, paint nails, help with craft and art time.

Description
Providing care and comfort to patients. Opportunities include direct patient visitation and administrative support. We provide feedback to schools for volunteer credit. We provide internships for those in nursing and social work. Travel will be limited, with the exception of internships, which may be only to visit different sites. Our goal is to provide companionship as well as socialization to those who express desire to have a volunteer visit. Our scope of activities may be limitless, we help with light housekeeping, running errands, helping with activities, quiet time to reflect and hear life experiences.
