Lantern Community Services is an organization that champions the independence and well-being of New Yorkers who are formerly homeless or have recently aged out of foster care through supportive housing. Our programs - which have proven results in health, employment, education and life skills - are delivered inside our residences and tailored to each person’s needs.

Currently, we are developing an after-school program in one of our buildings with elementary and middle school students and would like a volunteer who can lead 5-6 students in dance, music, or arts activities. This would be a hour commitment once a week after 3:30pm on a weekday. This help would not only engage our students after-school, but would free up some time for parents in the evening.

Please let us know if your interested and all experience levels are welcome to apply.
