Elara Caring is looking for compassionate volunteers willing to donate their time to provide exceptional end-of-life care to local hospice patients and their families.
Volunteers are needed to visit with patients and engage them in activities such as, playing music or singing, working on a craft project or sharing a special talent, or simply providing companionship through listening, talking, or holding a hand.
There are also volunteer opportunities within the Elara Caring office, assisting staff with mailing, filing, computer work and data entry, as well as other special projects.
Volunteers play a vital role in our ability to provide hospice services. By volunteering a few hours or days a month you can make a difference in the lives of the patients and families we serve. As a volunteer you can choose to work with hospice patients and their families or in administrative activities at the hospice office.
A person who volunteers is trained for the area in which they choose to serve and are under the direction of the hospice staff member responsible for the volunteer program.
