Elara Caring is looking for compassionate volunteers willing to donate their time to provide exceptional end-of-life care to local hospice patients and their families. Elara Caring depends on volunteers to help meet the needs of our patients. As the Volunteer Cooridnator, I recruit, train, supervise and retain all volunteers. I am looking for a Volunteer Coordinator Assistant to work alongside me in the office. This person will assist with recruiting duties, help with retention, and other miscellaneous volunteer needs. Some of the duties will include: *Updating internet postings *Traveling with the Volunteer Coordinator to post recruitment flyers in the area *Gathering content for the Volunteer Newsletter *Traveling with the Volunteer Coordinator to special events, such as veteran pinnings, tea parties, volunteer fairs and senior fairs *Making orientation packets *Organizing donated items The ideal candidate will be organized, dependable, personable, creative, self-motivated and compassionate. Volunteer hours are flexible within the work week (Monday - Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm). The candidate would be available twice a week for 3-4 hours at a time. Calling all creative crafting artists! Elara Caring is searching for compassionate volunteers willing to donate their time to provide exceptional end-of-life care to local hospice patients and their families. We are looking for individuals who love to craft such as crocheting and sewing. Perhaps you'd like to knit afghans/blankets for patients? Our patients could also use lap blankets, neck pillows, wheelchair or walker caddies, catheter bags and hand pillows. Share your creativity and artistic craft today! Make a real difference in someone’s life! Elara Caring is looking for compassionate volunteers willing to donate their time to provide exceptional end-of-life care to local hospice patients and their families. Restrictions have been lifted some with COVID-19, so now we are able to get back into patients homes and provide them some long overdue support. Elara Caring is looking for Companionship Volunteers who will visit patients in private homes. The Companionship Volunteer will provide companionship, play cards/games, watch TV, read to the patient, etc. There is no physical care involved. Hours are very flexible, weekdays, evenings or weekends. Typically we ask that you visit your assigned patient 1-2 hours per week.
