Fleet Management is seeking a volunteer to help replace faded or outdated vinyl graphic decals on a variety of county vehicles. All equipment, decals, and training will be provided. A volunteer in this opportunity will take before and after photos of each serviced vehicle, remove the old decals, and install the new decals. No prior experience is required.
From bucket trucks to fire engines and pickups, Polk County’s Fleet Management Division repairs and maintains more than 2,400 vehicles and equipment owned by the county and its constitutional officers. While a large part of the division’s responsibilities include maintaining those vehicles, employees of fleet conduct repairs that occur from traffic accidents, theft, vandalism and other mishaps. To keep the vehicles going, the county also maintains the fuel supply.
