Join us on a local North County grove from 9am - 12pm on Saturday mornings January - August. This volunteer opportunity is for people of all ages and gets you out with the butterflies and bees, picking citrus by hand or with a picker pole and preparing it for transport.

This position is influential in actively picking healthy produce for San Diego’s food insecure and preventing this excess from going to waste. Volunteers learn how to utilize picking poles to reach fruit and become part of produce rescue through community-driven work. This position allows volunteers to experience firsthand the tactical aspect of food recovery principles and become ambassadors of sustainable food systems.
