WHAT WE WILL DO:
Join Project Helping to make an impact on the life of a child who struggles with their reading! We will provide make-up tutoring sessions for K-4 students enrolled in the Reading Partners program who are reading 1 month to 2.5 years behind grade level. The first hour will be an overview of the curriculum used for tutoring and best practicing on working with the kids, then you’ll be ready for two separate one-on-one tutoring sessions using the tools you learned in the first hour.
Reading Partners mobilizes communities to provide students with the proven, individualized reading support they need to read at grade level by fourth grade. Research shows that students who read at grade level by fourth grade have a greater opportunity to succeed in school and in life. On average, Reading Partners’ students more than double their rate of learning while in the program.
