Seeking Veterans to honor Veteran Hospice Patients and/or provide Veteran to Veteran Companionship. Veteran would provide his/her own transportation and would travel to the patient's home to present the patient with a certificate and gift on behalf of the VNA and the Community, thanking and honoring the Veteran for their service. Schedule is based on the volunteer's availability. Training is provided. TB test and background checks are required. Added precautions for COVID-19 include:
Daily self-monitoring for symptoms
COVID-19 screening when scheduling appointments and prior to entering the home
Face shield, mask, and gloves are required during visits
Frequent hand-washing required
