The Membership Greeter Volunteer would engage with visitors both on the Memorial Plaza and Membership Desk areas to disseminate membership information and the importance joining to help support the 9/11 Memorial & Museum and its mission.
Duties include:
* Greet visitors on the outdoor Memorial Plaza around the queueing areas and inside the Museum by the membership desk.
* Inform visitors of know how they can help support the institution through membership giving and explain benefits offered.
* Distribute brochures as needed with membership support staff nearby to assist with any questions and process anyone interested in joining.
* Assist visitors with directions and general Memorial and Museum information.
RECOMMENDED TIME COMMITMENT: We suggest Membership Greeter Volunteers do 3 hours per week, Thursdays, from 11:00am - 2:00pm.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS
* Outgoing, personable, polite, comfortable and friendly interacting with visitors
* Ability to interact well with a wide range of people.
* Ability to work as part of a team.
* Comfortable working outdoors.

Description
The 9/11 Memorial is located at the site of the former World Trade Center complex in lower Manhattan, and occupies approximately half of the 16-acre site. The 9/11 Memorial features two enormous waterfalls and reflecting pools, each about an acre in size, set within the footprints of the Twin Towers.
The National September 11 Memorial Museum is the country’s principal institution concerned with exploring the implications of the events of 9/11, documenting the impact of those events and exploring 9/11’s continuing significance. Located at the bedrock/foundation level of the Twin Towers, the Museum is a moving tribute to the events of September 11 th .
