Volunteers are needed for the brand new state of the art Baton Rouge General - Ascension, a neighborhood hospital in Prairieville, LA. The hospital site is located at Highway 73 and Interstate 10. The 60,000 square foot facility includes a 10-bed inpatient hospital, an outpatient lab, imaging/radiology, a 14-bed emergency room area, as well as physician practices and office space.
Volunteers are needed to greet and direct visitors and patients. This volunteer position will require standing, sitting, walking, customer service, great communication skills and prefer someone with knowledge/experience with computers/Ipads. The volunteer must be able to interact with patients who are coming in to be treated in the Emergency Department and to assist in checking in for physician appointments.

Description
We are a not for profit hospital which is community owned. Our volunteers have an Auxiliary which returns all profits from fundraisers and the gift shops to the hospital at year-end to purchase medical equipment, security equipment, and interior updates.
