Are you outgoing? Do you enjoy sharing fun facts with others? Do you find flowers, butterflies, and their other multi-legged friends fascinating? Then this is the volunteer position for you! As an Interpretation Volunteer, you will rotate through several different areas including the exhibit hall, Native Butterfly Garden, and Tropical Conservatory. You will help keep the butterflies safe as you let guests in and out of the Conservatory. You will be provided training about all the exhibits in each area of the Butterfly House. Interpretationvolunteers make every guest’s visit extraordinary.
You will be standing, walking, and talking. During your shift you may be stationed inside the warm and humid Tropical Conservatory or outside (seasonal/weather permitting).
Shifts are typically 2 to 3 hours long; between the hours of 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. (starting at 9 a.m. between Memorial Day and Labor Day). The Butterfly House is open Tuesday - Sunday.
