The Orange Public Library Friends of the Library are looking for a Volunteer Director. This volunteer position is responsible for receiving applications, interviewing applicants, discussing area of interest and issuing appropriate paperwork. Works with Library Volunteer Coordinator in processing background checks. If volunteer is accepted, Volunteer Director gives them Friends member application, introduces them to co-volunteers and introduces them to the appropriate director for training. Volunteer Director keeps record of names, phone numbers and email addresses. Assists other Directors and volunteers in handling personnel issues. Friends of the Library Board of Directors meetings are held the second Monday of the month at 2:30 p.m.
