We are looking for 2 interns who are studying in the human services, psychology, counseling or social work fields and are at least a sophomore in college. The internship begins 1/6/2024. This internship is available for students who wish to work with survivors of abuse, domestic violence, and sexual trauma who struggle with eating disorders, PTSD and Dissociation.

The primary group facilitation times are between 12:00 and 3:30 pm or 6 pm and 10:30 pm weekdays, and a variety of hours on weekends. Interns who have the most availability and are good at time management are most likely to be successful.

This basic internship includes:

  1. Curriculum Development
  2. Group Facilitation
  3. Workshop Presentations
  4. 1:1 Support on a Master's level

Master's level internships include intakes and assessments, psycho-educational groups and more.

This internship is online utilizing Zoom, an audio/visual program. Interns must successfully complete a background check (at the intern's cost) and interview on Zoom. Acceptance into our internship program is contingent on successful completion of the background and reference checks. An internship application is required and if for college credit must have the approval of your internship professor. Supervision is by an Indiana Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Required forms need to be reviewed prior to the internship to see if our supervision and program qualify.

Description

Hope Recovery is a support program for individuals struggling to cope with abuse and sexual trauma. We are devoted to providing support services to adult survivors of trauma. Supportive friends and family are requested to sponsor a survivor service by providing a donation. All direct service volunteers must have a current criminal background check.

  • Orientation or Training
  • Approximately 10-25 hours a week depending upon the hours you need for your internship.
  • Successful completion of our 20 hours of orientation, video, reading and classroom training followed by in-group training. Must be at least 18 years of age.
