Plastic Bag Count

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: Sprouts of Promise

The Playa Vista Farmers’ Market WANTS to go Zero-Waste. But if we’re going to combat our plastic problem, we have to know how big it is.

Help us find out!

We’re teaming up with GirlScout Troop 15465 to find out how many plastic bags our market gives out each week. On December 14th, we’re counting bags! Volunteers will be stationed in booths throughout our market to count how many plastic bags are given out. This feels a little scary. We have a hunch that our market goes through A LOT of bags, but we can’t find a solution it we’re not honest about the problem.

Help us Count!
