Bella View Farm Animal Sanctuary is a non profit 501(c)(3) organization. We rescue, rehabilitate, and provide sanctuary special needs baby goats and friends.

If you don't mind getting pooped on, stepped on, slobbered on, pecked, full of hair, chased, sweaty or dirty then this is for you! The rewards for caring for special needs farm animals far outweighs the other stuff.
You must be physically fit, there is a lot of walking and lifting; hay bales, poop filled buckets, and the occasional goat that needs to be put in a wheelchair. Like the mailman, this is rain or shine. Things don't stop here because the weather is not nice. That's called commitment and responsibility.
If you have those rare qualifications, then you should fit right in here.
It's one day a week for 4 hours.
You must be 18 years or older, and have your own transportation.

Just a few of the caregiver responsibilities can include (but not limited to)

~cleaning/filling water buckets
~mucking stalls, animal shelter clean up
~general upkeep of pastures & pens-yes that might mean mowing, weed whacking, or harrowing
~hands on enrichment & socialization for the animals
~potentially bathing animals
~supervision of animals in play area & tending 100% to their needs
~food prep
~daily physical therapy of animals
~additional animal care & shelter needs

Volunteer caregivers should be able to lift, pull, and push roughly 40 lbs. (a bale of hay/a bag of shavings/a goat). Walk 1-2 miles in a shift, and tolerate all types of weather conditions. Yes, I'm repeated myself.

Additionally, if you would like to assist with other projects around the sanctuary we are ALWAYS seeking help for social media, building projects, fencing, insulation, plumbing, electrical, and pasture maintenance.

We are 100% volunteer run and are always looking for reliable and dedicated people. It doesn't take too much of your time and provides so much in return.

Description

We are a non profit 501 (c)(3) organization. We are a forever home for the special needs farm animal that would otherwise be discarded. The disabled and "throw aways" are welcomed with kindness and compassion to our farm to live out the rest of their days without ever knowing fear or hurt again. We truly believe that these are the precious souls that deserve a chance to know life and happiness in a safe and loving environment. They are the special ones that touch your heart, the ones that struggled to come into this world, the ones that struggled to survive, and they more than deserve to be loved and cared for no matter what the handicap may be, and at Bella View Farm Animal Sanctuary that’s exactly what they get to do here.
