Festival of Trees Saturday Helpers

Saturdays in December (12/3, 12/10, 12/17, 12/24, 12/31)

11am-2:30pm

Help us celebrate our annual Festival of Trees! Saturday Helpers will greet people as they enter the museum, offer basic guidance, and hand out activity sheets.

Comfy chair provided! You are welcome to bring a book, knitting project, or other simple activity to fill time between guests. You can also invite a friend or loved one to volunteer with you.

This volunteer opportunity would also be wonderful for local groups who want to complete volunteer hours. WCHS is testing out "sponsored" volunteer days - we will happily promote your community organization or local group in exchange for volunteer hours. Email our volunteer coordinator with any questions - hannah.king@wrighthistory.org

What is the Festival of Trees?
The Festival of Trees is an annual holiday event hosted by the Wright County Historical Society. Dozens of trees are decorated by local organizations, community members, and staff and displayed in exhibit galleries. We receive hundreds of visitors over the course of the month and need your help in making those visitors feel welcome!

Mission Statement

The Wright County Historical Society (WCHS) is a public 501(c) non-profit organization whose mission is to collect, preserve and share our history through the location, discovery, collection and preservation of historical artifacts and records. Our vision is to serve as the collective historical memory of Wright County, present exhibits that use historical materials related to the county, provide a comprehensive genealogical research facility, and connect to diverse audiences through a variety of methods.

Description

The Wright County Historical Society is located at the Wright County Heritage Center in Buffalo, Minnesota. It consists of nearly 8000 sq ft of gallery space, a genealogical research library, and historic buildings both on our grounds and the county fairgrounds.
