Volunteer Info:
Volunteers will lead five, 30 to 45 minute sessions from one of JA's elementary school programs. Volunteers may lead a program individually or pair with a colleague to "team teach". JA programs are facilitated during the school day, in the classroom. Teachers remain in the class to support the volunteers.

All new volunteers will complete a one hour training prior to the event and all volunteers will complete a 2019-20 JA Volunteer Registration Form. JA program materials will be provided and reviewed during the training.

JA Our City

JA Our City featuring Cha-Ching introduces students to financial literacy and learning objectives for third-grade social studies, including how people manage their money and the importance of economic exchange within a city. (Grade 3)

JA Our Region
JA Our Region introduces students to entrepreneurship and how entrepreneurs use resources to produce goods and services in a region. Students operate a hypothetical hot dog stand to understand the fundamental tasks performed by a business owner and to track the revenue and expenses of a business. (Grade 4)

Junior Achievement of Northern California (JA) achieves this mission through teaching students about their expanding roles as individuals, consumers, employees, employers, and productive members of our society.
