STRATACA is looking for volunteers to drive an electric cart or operate a train while sharing interesting facts with visitors on the underground ride in the mine. Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older, and able to safely operate the train or tram. Volunteers are needed Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturdays from 9 a.m.-6p.m. or on Sundays from 1 p.m.-5 p.m.

The mission of The Volunteer Center is to match individuals willing to serve with non-profit and governmental organizations in need of help for the benefit the community. Our goal is to be the first place people think of when they want to be of service and the first place non-profit and governmental groups think of when they need dependable volunteer help. As a result we extend the human capacity of area non-profit and governmental agencies by recruiting volunteers to fill a wide variety of volunteer positions in the community.
Description
The Volunteer Center recruits, refers and supports volunteers for the betterment of the community. The Center is home of the Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), the Volunteer Action Corps (VAC), Friends in Action and the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program in Reno County, Kansas.
