ORGANIZATION: Lantern Community Services

  • 7 people are interested

Lantern Community Services is an organization that champions the independence and well-being of New Yorkers who were formerly homeless or have recently aged out of foster care through supportive housing. Our programs - which have proven results in health, employment, education and life skills - are delivered inside our residences and tailored to each person’s needs.

Lantern is currently looking for an outreach volunteer to help our Health and Wellness program establish strong relationships with organizations that can potentially offer health services to our clients.

We would need a volunteer to go through our resource directory of organizations and

1) make sure all information is up to date,
2) ensure that there is a clear contact at that organization who could help Lantern residents, and
3) could establish what information residents would need to go to that organization for help.

This volunteer would be a large asset to our organization in making sure we can give our clients the fastest and most reliable information.
