Artistic Dreams International (ADI) is seeking a passionate, engaged and resourceful Marketing
and Communications Intern to develop and implement social media and marketing campaigns,
and increase visibility and functionality of ADI programs and events. The position requires 7 - 15
hours per week. The successful candidate sets high expectations for their work and life and
achieves his/her goals as a trademark. An ideal candidate is passionate about children’s arts
access, shows initiative, and goes above and beyond the norm to reach goals. He/she should
have experience in creating viral social media communications (short videos and static content),
be an expert in creating a strong following through Facebook, Instagram, and Linkedin, and
have great taste/style and experience in graphic design. The candidate must have a
demonstrated ability to meet strict deadlines and excellent presentation and writing skills. Under
the guidance of the Executive Director, the intern will implement ADI’s marketing plan and will
be the main social media and graphic content creator for online and offline marketing
campaigns. The candidate must be available to visit sites few times per month.

Responsibilities:
● Adhere to Marketing Plan as directed by Executive Director
● Create highly viral video and static content for social media daily
● Visit different program sites weekly to obtain content (in West Harlem)
● Create graphics for all communications material
● Manage social media presence and website content with Executive Director’s guidance
● Ensure consistent branding and style across all printed materials and web content
● Coordinate mass email communications through Mail Merge and Mailchimp.
● Oversee crowdfunding campaign (once/twice per year)
● Create and edit presentations (occasionally)
● Create Monthly Newsletter
● Assist in research companies for cause-related marketing opportunities
● Perform other support tasks as needed

Qualifications
● Currently obtaining a Bachelors or Masters degree in marketing, communications,
graphic design, digital marketing, print production and design or a related field
● 1+ years of experience managing communications
● Excellent writing and editing skills
● Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
● Knowledge of google analytics, basic html and CSS, photo editing software and
Microsoft Office suite
● Social media analytics knowledge
● Experience upgrading websites
● Experience in video editing
● Experience using Weebly preferred
● Working knowledge of Spanish (preferred but not necessary)

Artistic Dreams International (ADI) was founded in 2011, to open up the creative minds of children in underserved communities where budget cuts to arts education in public schools have left a void. Our program addresses the academic inequity and drop-out issues in Harlem by providing interdisciplinary arts education programs to underserved, low-income students enabling them to discover and reach their dreams. Our mission is to nurture youth 6-15 years of age to become creative world citizens that can transform their lives and the communities they live in, through the arts.

Description

Since our founding, we have grown to offer a total of fifteen after school and weekend programs in both West Harlem, New York City and Sonora, Mexico. Our NYC programs currently include eleven visual arts classes and one digital art and coding class. ADI currently provides free arts education programs to Harlem and Northern Mexico children through the Global Citizens Through the Arts. ADI units focus on learning how to become world citizens through the arts, with c lasses including watercolor painting, sculpture, visual art, digital art and coding, international chorus, bilingual art and technology, yoga and dance, and theater.
