Are you interested in helping others but don't have the time to commit to a regular volunteer schedule? Make blankets instead!
Elara Caring Hospice is looking for individuals who are interested in making tie blankets for our hospice patients in their own home. You don't need to commit to a certain amount of hours, you can do this during your free time and even in your pajamas! Turn this into a family activity and get your loved ones involved. Blankets are double-sided and 1.5 yards - just large enough to be lap blankets. Designs are completely up to you.
American flag blankets are encouraged for our veteran patients.
Do you want to get started right away? Run down to the closest fabric store near you and pick out your patterns now! Blankets can be dropped off at our local Toledo office or we can meet somewhere closer to you and I can pick them up.
