The Day Worker Center of Mountain View is a non-profit that connects day workers with employers in a safe environment while empowering workers to improve their socioeconomic condition through fair employment, education and job skills training.
The Center is looking for enthusiastic volunteers that are able to help us put together a resource fair. The purpose of the resource fair is for the community to come learn what resources are available to them and know where to turn to in case they need help in whatever it may be. There will be different organizations from the surrounding area that will be tabling and explaining to the community what resources they have to offer.
The event will be on November 17, 2019 from 11am - 2pm at the Mountain View Civic Center Plaza, 500 Castro St, Mountain View, CA 94041.
Volunteer opportunities for the fair include:
- Marketing (ex: promoting the event to community, handing out flyers, etc)
- Public Relations (ex: promoting the event through media outlets, etc)
- Set up/clean up of tables & canopies
- Master of Ceremonies (someone who can hype folks up for the event)
