Are you interested in helping cats in Milwaukee county? Apply to become a foster pawrent today!
We have fosters all over the greater Milwaukee area; from Oconomowoc to West Bend to Racine! Applicants should live within an hour of our vet in Milwaukee and be willing to transport their fosters that distance for appointments.
When you foster, you agree to take a homeless cat(s) into your home and give him or her love, care and attention, either for a predetermined period of time or until the cat is adopted.
Fostering a cat is one of the most rewarding experiences mew can have (other than adopting, of course). By taking an animal-in-need tempawarily into your home you:
- Give the cat time to get ready for adoption,
- Help us learn more about the cat’s purrsonality so we can find the best home for them,
- Socialize the cat (and possibly getting them used to other animals and different humans!),
- And help save some furry lives!
The Urban Cat Coalition covers all veterinary expenses for cats in our foster homes. We provide other supplies (such as litter, food, and toys) to fosters when we can (as these come from donations). We also encourage foster homes to track their expenses for their foster cats to claim as deductions at tax time.

Our biggest need is typically fosters for undersocialized kittens (usually 6-14 weeks of age). We will provide support, tips, and tricks on socialization!

Mission Statement
Creating a no-kill community in Milwaukee county by humanely reducing homeless cat population with targeted TNR (trap-neuter/vaccinate/eartip-return).
Description
The Urban Cat Coalition is a 100% volunteer-run and 100% foster-based cat rescue focused on outdoor and community cats that was founded in 2016. We are dedicated to education about TNR programs, building strong relationships in our community, and humane education. Our programs include TNR training for volunteers and the general public, a barn cat program for community cats in unsafe situations, a foster program for adoptable cats and kittens (usually nursing kittens with feral mothers), and an adoption program for those cats that decide to become housecats.
