Neighborhood Youth Association is a nonprofit organization that provides academic tutoring, leadership development and life skills to low-income and at-risk youth. We are based in Venice, and serve students after school from south and west LA.

NYA is dedicated to providing elective classes, as well as academic tutoring, to our students. Our program is after school, when most students participate in enrichment activities. Our students are low-income, and often cannot afford this. We are looking for volunteers who would like to provide instruction in coding.

Time commitment would be one hour/week for the school year. We can work with volunteers' schedules.

We do not require prior teaching experience, but are looking for people who are passionate about contributing to the community and social justice.
