Neighborhood Youth Association is a nonprofit program for low income and at risk youth. We offer education services, elective classes and leadership/skill building after school to students in grades 1-12.

We would like to offer a Robotics class using Lego Mindstorms to high school students (grades 9-12) and are looking for instructors to help lead this class. We will provide all materials. If you are knowledgeable about Robotics and looking to make a difference in the community, please contact us!

Mission Statement

The Neighborhood Youth Association provides at risk youth from low income homes a comprehensive set of educational enhancement services in a sustained, focused manner over the critical years of their lives so that they may successfully reach a productive adulthood.


NYA offers services that are long term and concentrated, adapted to meet the individual needs of each child and are measured against tangible goals. We have locations in Venice, Mar Vista (West LA), Downtown LA, Mid-City, and South LA/Harbor Gateway.
