March into BEAUTIFYING Orchard Heights Park with Friends of Trees Mar 7th (Salem)
- A group opportunity. Invite your friends.
Join Friends of Trees and the City of Salem as we plant native trees and shrubs along the banks of Glen Creek! This is the first planting of a multi-year effort at the park to improve the shade canopy and wildlife habitat within this beautiful park. This project is made possible with support from the City of Salem.
Please arrive by 8:45am to sign-in and enjoy some breakfast treats and coffee, tea, or hot chocolate. The planting starts at 9:00am. We provide gloves, tools, and planting guidance -- all you need to do is show up dressed for the weather wearing sturdy shoes or boots, and be ready to have fun!
How do I register? All individuals and groups are kindly asked to RSVP to save your spot(s) by filling out our quick Registration Form (https://friendsoftrees.org/event-calendar/). Registration is highly recommended but not required.
Under age 18? A signed youth waiver(https://friendsoftrees.org/youthwaiver) is required for you to volunteer. We ask that youth 15 years and younger are accompanied by an adult.
