Friends of Trees is excited to partner with Portland Parks & Recreation to help restore one of N Portland's most treasured parks: Kelley Point Park. We will be planting hundreds of native trees and shrubs and are grateful for your support which makes this event possible! Please arrive by 9:45am to sign-in and be assigned a planting crew. The planting starts at 10:00am. We provide gloves, tools, and planting guidance, as well as breakfast snacks and coffee/tea/hot chocolate -- all you need to do is show up dressed for the weather wearing sturdy shoes or boots, and be ready to have fun! How do I register? Visit the Event Calendar (https://friendsoftrees.org/event-calendar/), click on this event, and fill out the quick registration form. Groups and individuals welcome! If your group is more than 5 people, please know you will be assigned to different planting crews. Under age 18? We request that youth 15 and under volunteer with a parent/guardian . Help needed at Nadaka Nature Park, an amazing natural area and adored public park in Gresham. The park serves the diverse residents of the area with a community garden, natural play area, and picnic shelter. We will be planting native trees, shrubs, and wildflowers as well as removing invasive species including Himalayan Blackberry and English Ivy. Please arrive by 9:45am to sign-in and be assigned a planting crew. The planting starts at 10:00am. We provide gloves, tools, and planting guidance, as well as breakfast snacks and coffee/tea/hot chocolate -- all you need to do is show up dressed for the weather wearing sturdy shoes or boots, and be ready to have fun! Help is needed to plant hundreds of native trees and shrubs at the unique Gateway Green Park! Join Friends of Trees, Friends of Gateway Green, Portland Parks and Recreation, and Portland OIC as we enhance the natural area in this unique mountain-biking oasis situated in between I-84 and I-205. This park is only accessible via the I-205 Multi-Use Path. There is an approximately 10 - 15 minute walk from the **SW corner** of the Fred Meyer parking lot (by the garden center across from The Oregon Clinic) down the multi-use path to our planting site, look for our signs. Volunteers are encouraged to bike to the planting or take public transportation to the transit center and walk from there. Please arrive by 9:45am to sign-in and be assigned a planting crew.
