Southeastern Wisconsin's streams, rivers, and nearshore Lake Michigan make up an integral part of the region's environment and economy. The Southeastern Wisconsin Watersheds Trust (Sweet Water) is dedicated to protecting our most valuable resource -- freshwater.
Volunteers are needed for our upcoming Clean Rivers, Clean Lake Conference at Alverno College in Milwaukee.
The conference is an all-day event that includes oral and poster presentations, exhibits, an awards presentation for Sweet Water's Water Quality Mini-Grant Program recipients, and a celebration of our Watershed Champions.
Participants from nonprofit, government, business and academic organizations gather each year for the Clean Rivers, Clean Lake Conference to learn about improving the health of our watersheds through policy innovation, technical and engineering advances, watershed restoration planning and practices, and collaborative stakeholder involvement.
The conference is on November 14 from 8:00am to 6:00pmVolunteers will be needed in all areas of the event including, but not limited to

Mission Statement
Sweet Water is committed to restoring the Greater Milwaukee watersheds to conditions that are healthy for swimming and fishing. We bring diverse partners together and provide the leadership and innovation necessary to protect and restore our shared water resources.
Description
The Southeastern Wisconsin Watersheds Trust, Inc. (Sweet Water) is a unique partnership established in 2008 to achieve healthy and sustainable water resources throughout the 1,100 square mile Greater Milwaukee Watersheds through coordinated, collaborative efforts. Our members include independent units of government, special purpose districts, non-profit organizations, local residents and representatives of business and academia, all sharing common goals for our shared waters. Recognizing that our rivers travel through our region irrespective of municipal or sewerage district boundaries and that the health of our waters reflects our shared land use and common stressors, we have unified to address the issues facing our rivers and Lake Michigan through a basin-wide, collaborative approach.
