Do you want to volunteer and get some exercise at the same time? If so, the Minneapolis VA is seeking Volunteers in our Escort Department to physically escort Veterans to and from their various appointments throughout the medical center.
This fast-paced opportunity will require Volunteers whom are energetic, patient-centered, flexible, have excellent verbal communication skills and have the physical ability to push a wheelchair and/or litter.
With current safety policies and procedures during the COVID pandemic, all who enter the facility are required to wear a face mask. Patient Escort Volunteers will also be provided with a face shield which will need to be worn, along with their face mask, during escort runs.
