In this volunteer position you will have the opportunity to serve our nation's heroes by being the warm, smiling face that greets Veterans and those accompanying them as the enter and navigate through the Minneapolis VA Medical Center.
First Impressions Volunteers: welcome Veterans, their family members and visitors into the facility; assist with questions; and, provide information, directions and wayfinding. Volunteers are positioned at stations throughout the facility including the main entrances, elevator banks and satellite waiting rooms.
Volunteers must be able to hear and communicate clearly and have excellent customer service.
VHA Directive 1193 and VA Handbook 5019 requires that Volunteers in this role have a documented COVID-19 vaccine and Flu vaccine.
Current need for First Impression Volunteers:Monday through Friday mornings 7:30am-11:30am
Monday through Friday afternoons 11:30am-3:30pm

Minneapolis VA Health Care System is a teaching hospital providing a full range of patient care services with state-of-the-art technology, as well as education and research. Comprehensive health care is provided through primary care, tertiary care and long-term care in areas of medicine, surgery, psychiatry, physical medicine and rehabilitation, neurology, oncology, dentistry, geriatrics and extended care. The Minneapolis VA Health Care System provides for the health care needs of Veterans in Minnesota and western Wisconsin.
