Walk or Bike our beautiful Dupage Forest Preserve Trails as a Trail Patrol Volunteer! Applications are being accepted for the 2017 season.
Traveling in teams of two, Trail Patrol volunteers tour District trails at numerous forest preserves from April 1 through October 31. Flexible schedules and a chance to patrol your choice of many preserves makes this volunteer opportunity a popular one! Meet other volunteers, enjoy the company and the exercise while you assist the public on the trails.
Bike Patrol and Foot Patrol volunteers 18 and older report problems and hazards encountered in the preserves. They also provide valuable information and assistance to preserve visitors.
Trail Patrol volunteers receive vests that must be worn while patrolling the preserves. Bike Patrol volunteers must provide their own bicycles and helmets.
