San Francisco Bay Area Affiliate holds the run/walk annually to fundraise for the nonprofit, Huntington's Disease Society of America (HDSA), to help in the fight against Huntington's disease.
We are recruiting volunteers for the day of the event to help with setup and take down, man water stations, direct runners/walkers, help with registration, cheer as runners/walkers cross the finish line and man a food/water booth. The run/walk will be timed by a gracious donation from the company RECORD TIMING. RECORD TIMING is well known in the Bay Area and times events at local colleges/university like Stanford.
The event is held at Campbell Park in Campbell and the run/walk will be on the Los Gatos Creek Trail a popular trail for runnings in the San Jose area.
Volunteers are needed to:
Help with promotion of event on event websites, community calendars
Help post event on San Francisco Bay Area Runner websites
Physically put flyers up in store fronts, running trails, gyms, etc.
