We currently need volunteers for a few families who have a sick loved one. The daughters are caring for the loved ones and need some relief. They need someone to sit by the bedside so they can get a nap, a shower, or even eat. They need to care for themselves so they can stay strong to care for their loved one. Do consider helping us!

No experience necessary. We will train.
Because the sick person is on Medicare, there are quite a few requirements such as a
doctor note and a TB test, training, and a longish application, but we will
try to get this paperwork
all done as quickly as possible so these families can feel your love.
You can go out as often or as little as you can or want. We are just grateful for anything
you can do to help out. Thank you!!!

SVH provides physical, emotional, and spiritual support to patients and their families emphasizing quality of life when the quantity of life is limited. Our professional health care team includes our Medical Director, attending physicians, social workers, registered nurses, home health aids, chaplain, and volunteers who all strive to work together with the patient and family members with the ultimate goal of keeping the patient comfortable, free as possible from pain and anxiety, allowing the patient to die peacefully and with dignity.
