First impressions go a long way! Greeter and wayfinder volunteers set the tone for a positive experience by welcoming patients, families and guests entering the hospital. These volunteers also escort patients to their destinations and assist in providing directions or other facility information.
Volunteers add extra warmth that is appreciated by our patients, their families and our staff. They are exceptional people who take the extra steps to make a difference in other people’s lives. Volunteering is a great learning experience and an excellent way to meet people and make new friends.

The hospital has served as a teaching facility for the University of Louisville School of Medicine for over 50 years.

You do not need any special skills to be a volunteer. We will provide the training you need. Opportunities are available in patient and nonpatient areas.
