Norton Healthcare's purpose is to provide quality health care to all those we serve, in a manner that responds to the needs of our communities and honors our faith heritage.
Combining more than a century of compassionate care with the latest advances in medical technology, Norton Hospital delivers quality treatment with a caring attitude for the full range of illnesses and injuries affecting adults. Norton Hospital is focused on specialty surgical services, advanced diagnostics, oncology, orthopaedics and maternal-fetal medicine. The hospital has served as a teaching facility for the University of Louisville School of Medicine for over 50 years.
Our volunteers are truly special. While most people don’t choose to spend their time in a hospital, our volunteers do - dedicating their talents and service to our facilities, employees, patients and visitors. The impact of our volunteers is felt throughout our hospitals in the lives they touch every day.
Volunteers add extra warmth that is appreciated by our patients, their families and our staff. They are exceptional people who take the extra steps to make a difference in other people’s lives. Volunteering is a great learning experience and an excellent way to meet people and make new friends.
You do not need any special skills to be a volunteer. We will provide the training you need. Opportunities are available in patient and nonpatient areas.
