The Next IT Girl is a National 501(c)(3) non-profit whose mission is dedicated to educate young women of color across the nation discover, pursue, and succeed in technology-related careers.

We are seeking volunteers to assist us with our summer program in the Charleston area beginning in July 14, 2025. This opportunity is based in North Charleston with program volunteer hours being three hour block shifts. Volunteers will assist facilitators and mentorship for our students. All of our programs and services are centered around technology concepts this summer camp is based on AI. Technical and non-technical volunteers welcome!

Background check and volunteer training is required.

Description

The Next IT Girl helps close the gender and racial gap by providing technical workshops, mentorship, and career readiness for young women of color ages 8-22 who are interested in pursuing a technology career. The Next IT Girl is a non profit organization mission to educate, mentor, and advance young women of color to pursue technology careers. We are bridging the gap of race and gender to increase the representation in the tech industry. We provide technical resources and programs to support technology exposure for underrepresented girls of color to learn technology.
