Marion Polk Food Share offers evening volunteer shifts for volunteer groups that are not available during our regular volunteer hours. These shifts provide a meaningful volunteer opportunity for many eager volunteer teams looking to give back to the community!
Project Leads are trained to lead volunteer projects during these evening shifts and are an important part of what makes these shifts possible!
Project Leads will:
- Welcome volunteer teams into the warehouse
- Share important food safety and warehouse safety information at the start of the shift
- Provide instructions for the evening's volunteer project
- Monitor and provide support as needed throughout the shift
- Put away food/clean up after the shift
Training:
Project Leads will receive training on warehouse and food safety as well as training on any warehouse equipment necessary to lead volunteer projects.
Time Commitment:
We ask that Project Leads commit to leading at least 1 volunteer shift per month for a 6 month period.
