We are looking for high school students/other volunteers who would be willing to help paint the Aliso Pico Gym from October 1-6 and are hoping to have around 10 students/volunteers each day. Students/volunteers will be working on this project with a professional artist. We would start painting after school around 3:30 pm and would finish up each day around 6:30 pm. Additionally, we will have time slots available on Saturday, October 5 and Sunday, October 6. Snacks will be provided! The link to sign up is http://bit.ly/ IMPACTOPainting.

Description
IMPACTO is part of Proyecto Pastoral, an organization established in the predominantly Latino, low-income area of Boyle Heights. IMPACTO is the after-school program component, offering assistance at two different sites for grades K-12. We offer homework assistance and tutoring to our youth, as well as enrichment activities like art club, guitar lessons, track team, book club, story time, and many other extracurricular options. Additionally, we offer field trips at least once a semester and during our summer program. Parents and families are incorporated into our program as well, with parent meetings and workshops on topics such as local resources, ways to be economically aware, and nutritional choices for feeding a family.
