Time's Up! Environmental Group is a thirty year old nonprofit located in downtown Manhattan, and Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

We have a wide variety of environmental campaigns and have been quite successful at using press and media to convey our message both locally and globally.

As environmental awareness builds in America as a whole, using the internet and press outlets becomes increasingly influential.

As Press Cordinator, expect to: archive press articles and releases on to the Time's Up! Website (we will train you on our website software); organize photos of group rides and Time's Up! events; press calls if you feel comfortable talking to press; editing help for writing text for postings on blogs and Time's Up! website; and help set up press database. And of course, coming up with new ideas for press-related events and actions.

About Time's Up

Location:

626 E 14th St., New York, NY 10009, US

Mission Statement

TIME'S UP! educates people about the environmental impacts of everyday purchases. We focus on transportation issues in New York City and have been instrumental in involving cyclists and skaters in large, mobile actions.

Description

TIME'S UP! is a grassroots environmental group that has been working on environmental issues for 27 years. Educational outreach and direct action are the two most important aspects of TIME'S UP! We hold more than 100 free outdoor and indoor events each year. Our campaigns range from saving community gardens to promoting non-polluting transportation. In 2012, Time's Up! partnered with the Museum of Reclaimed Urban Space (Morus) in lower east side of Manhattan, which archives the history of the community and gardens, advocating community engagement and sustainable urban design.
