Nine Lives Foundation proudly provides lifelines for at-risk cats and kittens and affordable, compassionate care for our feline friends and the people who love them. Let’s save lives together!

Description

Nine Lives Foundation is a not-for-profit, no-kill shelter for cats and kittens. We rescue at risk cats and kittens, provide them with medical care, and find them loving adoptive homes.

We adopted out 601 cats and kittens in 2022! We also run a low-cost spay/neuter clinic for feral cats, members of the community, and partner rescue organizations - in 2022 we spayed/neutered 3,425 cats and kittens!

We have two locations in Redwood city: our medical clinic at 3137 Jefferson Avenue and our Adoption Center at 3106 Rolison Road. We invite you to visit our clinic and adoption center to see how your volunteering makes a difference in the lives of so many cats and kittens.

Make a difference in your community by helping the cats and kittens in our care. Every volunteer hour helps!

Our volunteers are a driving force behind Nine Lives Foundation. Without their dedication, we would not be able to give so many kitties the care they deserve. Opportunities for volunteers include working in our adoption center and clinic, fostering, cat care and enrichment, transport, fundraising events & community outreach, technical support, administrative help, and more!

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be at least 18
  • 1-2 shifts per week (providing an extra pair of hands and helping cover when regular staff take vacation) for a minimum of 6 months. Shifts are typically 9am - 2pm or 2pm - 6pm on weekdays.
  • Must love cats and thrive in a busy (sometimes hectic!) environment! Must have receptionist / retail experience including taking payments.
