Development Support Position Description
New York Metro AreaThe Development Support team promotes the growth of the organization’s mentoring program by supporting Image Impact’s development plan. This key role conducts research and executes action steps related to grant applications.
Duties:
- Research foundation and corporate websites for application requirements, key words, and language which can be used in grant proposals.
- Strategize and prioritize proposals.
- Assist with the wording of draft grant applications and promotional materials.
- Assist the VP Development with the Board of Directors relationship mapping project.
- Track quarterly metrics, pledges, and in-kind contributions for the Board of Directors.
- Identify and follow up with prospective contacts, donors, and sponsors as needed.
Requirements:
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills
- Ability to carry out online research and collate information
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work as a team player
- High level of integrity
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Public Relations, Communications or similar field preferred but not required
- Must be willing to provide two references
Volunteer Details
- Time Commitment: Minimum of 10-20 virtual hours per month which may include weeknight evenings.
