We are seeking an experienced grant writer to identify through online searches and assemble grant applications for our organization. Ideal person will have strong research and writing skills with the ability to stick to deadlines

Responsibilities:

1. Identify applicable funding and grant opportunities

2. Gain alignment on opportunity from shelter Director

3. Compile all data necessary for submissions

4. Track all funding and grant submissions and provide follow up reports as necessary

5. Submit monthly report to Board of Directors

Desired Experience: Bachelor's Degree in English, Communications, or similar field. Strong research and writing skills. Ability to identify goals or organization then work independently and meet submission deadlines. Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Knowledge of grant application process. Passion for animal rescue and welfare.

Preferred: At least 1 year experience grant writing
