Help us reach more families and give back your fundraising talents in an emerging field in animal care: Animal Hospice and Palliative Care. Our greater Seattle-based nonprofit is looking for animal lovers or hospice workers with experience and/or interest to work alongside the Executive Director, and optionally, a seat on our Board. We are a 10-year-old, locally-based nonprofit looking to bring our offerings to more caregiving families through our "A HELP for Animal Hospice Caregivers Fund." Our 2017 end-of-year giving resulted in the chance to extend a hand to more than 20 families between 2017-2019. You can be 'A Help' to many more in need! Learn more at https://www.ahelpproject.org/donate and contact our Executive Director at michelle@AHELPProject.org. Looking forward to connecting with you!
About ANIMAL HOSPICE END OF LIFE AND PALLIATIVE CARE PROJECT
2826 108TH AVE SE, BELLEVUE, WA 98004, US
Through support, tools and resources, our mission is to empower caregivers to achieve the best quality of life for themselves and their animal companion once their goals of care shift from cure to comfort.
The Animal Hospice, End of Life, and Palliative Care, or AHELP Project, works with veterinarians to support the family, which includes the patient or animal and their closest caregivers. Through evaluating choices, decision making assistance, and companionship, caregivers can prepare for their loss and feel empowered to act on their plans for their animal companion's peaceful farewell.
In 2010, our mission began with animal end-of-life awareness and education programs, along with conventional support groups. With the interest we have spawned, we are now proudly offering AHELPer volunteer positions within our Animal Caregiver Support Program, working alongside veterinarians, counselors and spiritual supporters.
AHELPer volunteers join us because they want be a part of a solution to enhance the end-of-life journey for our animal friends. They have want the same gentle, dignified decline for their animal family members that their human loved ones experienced through hospice care Through our We can serve more famlies with animal hospice and palliative care services through our wonderful volunteers coupled with nonprofit fundraising strategies of grant writing and sponsorships.
